The name Jaeger-LeCoultre needs no introduction, as they are already well-known for producing wristwatches such as the Reverso and the Memovox, as well as for creating an imaginative array of horological objects. Intriguingly, this piece marks a time before Jaeger merged with LeCoultre to form the brand we know today, as evidenced by the signature at the centre of the dial.

This “paperweight” style Jaeger desk clock combines chrome and leather to produce a charming mid-century feel, while the dark dial provides an excellent contrast against the lume-filled numerals and blued hands. These have aged slightly, leaving the numbers an attractive creamy shade.

Designed to be placed on a desk or a similar flat surface, the clock is in the style of a paperweight, and can be placed on its side for easy viewing or horizontally, with the dial pointing upwards. This allows for the dial to be comfortably glanced at while working at your desk and can double up as a stylish paperweight for documents. The clock can also be easily removed from the leather case and features an adjustable circular stand on the reverse to hold it upright.

Condition

This vintage Jaeger clock remains in a remarkable condition, for an object of its age and material. There is some wear and fading to the leather but it remains in a remarkable condition. The dial retains the original lumes while the hands are intact, showing both the blue steel and the warm orange patina of the luminescent material. The chrome case also retains its almost NOS condition.

Warranty

The movement is fully functional and has been fully serviced. It comes with a twelve month mechanical warranty from A Collected Man.
