Exuding the timeless elegance of Art Deco design, this stylish walnut desk clock by Jaeger-LeCoultre is a rare find and a great addition to our range of collectables. With something of a nautical air about it, its port hole-esque shape is reminiscent of a vintage ship, taking you on a voyage every time you look at it.
Designed in the first part of the 20th century and made after the Second World War, the clock is a testament to the clever use of materials of the post-war years, while still showcasing excellence in both design and watchmaking. This unique Jaeger-LeCoultre clock is a ribbed, round design crafted from beautiful burr walnut wood, featuring the swirling characteristic of this classic veneer.
The clock sits on a curved chrome base. The dial is a contrasting blend of walnut and chrome, with black hands and engraved Roman numerals on a cream-painted rim sitting on the outside of the dial. The clock has a manually-wound movement which can be accessed via the crown at the back, and it is finished with the Jaeger-LeCoultre signature printed on the chrome dial.
A decorative desk or table clock with a distinctive style, it’s a stand-out addition to any room in your house.

Condition
This vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre clock remains in an overall good condition, for an object of its age and of its material. There is some wear and fading to the cream, painted rim where the chrome underlayer is visible, most notably at the nine and twelve o’clock markers. The walnut case itself has a crack under the seven o’clock marker on the front and the back, where the chrome base meets the wood. All parts appear to be original and display a number of characteristics, consistent with the somewhat mixed use of materials in the post-war years of scarcity.
Warranty
The movement is fully functional and has been fully serviced. It comes with a twelve-month mechanical warranty.
