Invented in 18th century England in an attempt to introduce more accurate timekeeping, the regulator is a rarely seen complication that remains technically interesting and aesthetically intriguing. This piece follows tradition by separating the three parts of the dial, with the minutes remaining part of the main watch face, while the two sub-dials for the hour and seconds divide the dial symmetrically.

On top of the regulator, the watch is given further complexity with the annual calendar complication that is placed discreetly on either side of the sub-dials. As opposed to a perpetual calendar, the annual calendar must be set once a year to compensate for the shorter month in February. With a combination of brushed and polished surfaces, as well as the juxtaposition of navy and white colours on the dial, the modern aesthetics ensure that the complications are not the only compelling thing about the watch.
